Find Your Fit

Measure the circumference of your calf at its widest point. The sleeve should apply firm circumferential compression without restricting ankle movement or causing discomfort behind the knee.

Size Calf Circumference Recommended For
XS28–32 cmSmaller frame adults, some adolescents
S32–36 cmSmall-medium adult
M36–40 cmMedium adult — most common size
L40–44 cmLarge adult

If you are between sizes, size up. The sleeve compresses — a looser fit is easier to adjust than one that is too tight. For Sever's disease in children, measure the child's calf at its widest point and select accordingly. If unsure, contact us before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long until I should feel a difference?

Most users report a noticeable reduction in pain and load during activity from the first wear. The biomechanical mechanism is immediate — the sleeve changes how your muscles fire during every step. Tissue healing is still a parallel process that requires time and appropriate loading.

Can I wear it all day?

Yes — the sleeve is designed for full-day wear during all weight-bearing activity. For paediatric patients (Sever's disease) a graduated introduction of 1–2 hours per day building to full wear over 2 weeks is recommended.

Can I wear it during sport?

Yes. The sleeve does not restrict ankle range of motion and is suitable for running, team sport, and gym activity. Many users wear it throughout training and competition.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Hang dry — do not tumble dry or iron. With daily wear and correct care, the sleeve maintains its compression properties for 6–12 months.

Can I wear it on either leg?

Yes — the Orthopaedic Sleeve is not side-specific. It can be worn on the left or right leg. For bilateral presentations (both sides affected), two sleeves are recommended.

My clinician recommended this — can they order for me?

Long Term Calf Injury

I tore my calf muscle pretty badly 5 years ago and it's never healed properly. These days I've just learned to live with the pain when I go for my walks. The last 3 days I've done my 3km walk with the sleeve and I didn't remember what it felt like to not have that pain. This is the first time I've had hope that in future I can walk normally again. It was a little tricky to get on before I learnt the secret of folding it back on itself prior, but now I look forward to using it. Well thought out and fantastic product, I'm considering buying a second for foot pain in the other foot.

Post-pregnancy recovery support

As a busy mum of three, my body really struggled to feel strong again after my third baby. Between the pram walks, chasing a 2 and 4yr old, and constantly carrying an almost 1yr old, the "daily kid activity" was a massive toll. I was dealing with constant soreness from my calves down to the balls of my feet, and I knew I needed extra support to help my body properly recover.

I found the Orthopaedic Sleeve Society through social media and decided to give them a go. A quick tip: check sizing carefully. I originally ordered a small, which was a bit too tough to get on. Thankfully, their customer service was amazing - they helped me with my sizing queries immediately and swapped it for a medium within the week.

The website is very user friendly, and the instructions super helpful. If you're a parent on your feet all day looking for post-pregnancy recovery support, I'd definitely recommend!

Remain active during recovery

Many products out there but haven't come across one that supports remaining active during recovery quite like this. As someone who gets very sad when I can't remain active during injury recovery, this has been my perfect tool. Thank you to TOSS for your efforts in creating this sleeve.

Calf rehab

I strained my calf while training for a half marathon and was struggling to stay mobile without aggravating it further. The Orthopaedic Sleeve gave me the support I needed to stay active and manage the load until I could safely return to training. Genuinely impressed, highly recommend for soft tissue recovery.

Great benefits from wearing the sleeve!

My physio's genius fix for my tight, sore Achilles? An orthopaedic sleeve! MS leaves my left ankle weak and prone to foot drop—especially when fatigue hits. This sleeve wraps me in rock-solid support: no more dropping, no more worries. Absolute game-changer for long walking days!

Chronic Stress Fractures

I have had chronic stress fractures in both of my shins for the last 4 Years, I have always struggled in day to day tasks, would always get severe pain, Cody and Andrew recommend this brace as Cody has seen good results with taping. I started to wear the brace when playing golf and incredible results, my pain has been dramatically reduced. Highly Recommend this brace.

A definite game changer!

Before trying the Orthosleeve I had constant high levels of pain with my Achilles insertion tendonosis. I couldn't even complete 3 heel raises without it hurting. After a few weeks of wearing the Orthosleeve, I was able to complete the exercises my physio assigned. After a couple of months my pain level has moved to mostly level 3, with times where there is no pain. It's still a work in progress, but I am confident I can return to a position where I can exercise and enjoy life again!

Calf Tear

I am a woman past her 70's and was given this brace by my physio after I tore my calf. I've been wearing it most of every day and find it a great support. The calf muscle is much more comfortable and improving.

The leg is still a little swollen, so the compression style of the brace (particularly where the seam is stitched) can be uncomfortable at times and on a particular day I was flared up and it left a bit of pain and swelling down at my ankle, so I had to take it off. It has since settled, and I have resumed using it under the direction of my physio.

My biggest problem is putting it on and taking it off. But that is because I have arthritic fingers and find it hard to grip the sock and pull. It's not too small. The whole process is a part of my daily exercise!

The Sleeve for Heel Spurs

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now and its daily standing impact is incredible. I have had rather bad pain for months, specifically, heel bone pain from spurs and Plantar Fasciitis. The sleeve takes the pressure off when I am needing to stand for longer periods of time and eases my daily walks. I am so happy I have discovered such a fantastic local invention!

The Sleeve for Achilles

I am a 62-year-old lady who enjoys walking regularly to keep fit. Over time, I started experiencing more soreness in my Achilles, especially when walking faster or for longer distances.

I came across this brace and since using it I've noticed a real improvement in day to day pain levels. Another bonus is that I've started waking up in the mornings with less stiffness and soreness than before, which makes such a difference to my day.

The brace is very easy to use, and I appreciate that it adjusts, so now that I'm having fewer problems and my exercises are helping, I can start to relax the support when needed. Overall, I've found it very helpful and would recommend it to anyone dealing with similar Achilles issues.

Supported Workouts

I've been testing the Sleeve while recovering from a calf tear, and it's been great.

The fit and compression are really supportive without being uncomfortable. I wore it under my leggings—although it can be a little fiddly to get on and off with the Velcro and dial adjuster, once it's on it sits really well. I could even put socks over the top and it looked completely discreet.

I found it excellent for exercising—during gym classes I could dial up the support and focus on my workout without worrying about re-injury. The sleeve gives so much heel and calf support that I wasn't constantly thinking about my calf tear, which was a relief.

What I love most is how adjustable it is. I could keep it firm and supportive during exercise, then loosen it off for something lighter like walking. That flexibility makes it super practical for everyday recovery and activity.

Overall, this sleeve has helped me get back to moving and working out with confidence. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone recovering from a lower-leg or heel issue.

Achilles Tendonitis

The Sleeve relieved pressure on my Achilles tendons and let me do rehab pain-free. It's comfortable, adjustable, and effective. Would recommend!
