Warranty Overview

Every Orthopaedic Sleeve is covered by a 12-month standard manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. Register your product within 30 days of delivery and provide a valid clinician prescription, and your warranty extends to 18 months total — 6 additional months of coverage as a thank-you for using the device correctly under clinical guidance.

Prescription Requirement

To activate extended warranty coverage and to make any warranty claim, you will need a prescription or referral from your treating physiotherapist, sports physician, or GP. This is a letter or referral form confirming your diagnosis and recommending The Orthopaedic Sleeve as part of your management plan.

What Is Covered

  • Defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of manufacture
  • Structural failure of the silicone heel cup or compression sleeve under normal use
  • Delamination or separation of bonded components not caused by misuse
  • Elastic or compression failure that occurs before reasonable wear expectation
  • Functional failure of any embedded mechanism affecting therapeutic performance

What Is Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear, including gradual compression reduction from regular use
  • Damage caused by improper use, storage, or failure to follow care instructions
  • Damage caused by exposure to chemicals, solvents, or bleach-based cleaning agents
  • Cuts, punctures, or abrasions caused by sharp objects or rough surfaces
  • Damage resulting from alterations or modifications to the product
  • Use of the device beyond its intended clinical purpose
  • Loss or theft of the product

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Step 1 — Register Your Product

Register your Orthopaedic Sleeve at warranty-registration.html within 30 days of delivery. You'll need your order number and clinician prescription. Registration activates your extended 18-month coverage and is required for all claims.

Step 2 — Contact Us

Email info@theorthosleevesociety.com with the subject line "Warranty Claim". Include:

  • Your full name and order number
  • Your warranty registration confirmation number
  • Date of purchase and date of delivery
  • A clear description of the defect or issue
  • Photographs clearly showing the defect
  • Your clinician prescription or referral (required)

Step 3 — Assessment

Our team will review your claim within 3–5 business days. We may request that the faulty product be returned for inspection. Return shipping for approved warranty claims is covered by The Orthopaedic Sleeve Society.

Step 4 — Resolution

Upon approval, we will arrange one of the following at our discretion:

  • Replacement of the defective product with the same or equivalent model
  • Repair of the defective component where feasible
  • Store credit to the value of the product

Please note: Warranty remedies do not extend to shipping costs, clinical or consultation fees, or any consequential losses arising from product failure.

Product Care & Longevity

  • Hand wash only in cool water with mild detergent — do not machine wash
  • Do not tumble dry, iron, or expose to direct heat sources
  • Air dry flat, away from direct sunlight
  • Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or chemical cleaning agents
  • Store in a cool, dry location away from sharp objects when not in use
  • Inspect regularly for signs of wear, particularly around the heel cup seams

Australian Consumer Law

Our warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes your rights under the ACL.
